Tahan-Coshare alliance to generate RM2.5m by year-end

Profitable partnership: Better marketing for insurance products, services

Tahan Insurance (M) Bhd (Tahan Insurance) expects its alliance with Coshare Sdn Bhd to generate a combined premium income of about RM2.5 million by the end of this year.

The alliance will enable the composite insurer to market its insurance products and services directly to government employees via a salary deduction programme on a monthly basis.

Tahan Insurance is confident it will achieve the premium income from this alliance, which will enable them to provide cover to more government employees.

Chief Executive Officer Razidan Ghazalli said the alliance with Coshare – a company appointed by Jabatan Akauntan Negara Malaysia, government employees will enjoy exclusively-designed products and services by worksite marketing channel of Tahan Insurance. There are about one million government employees in the country.

According to Razidan, Tahan Insurance is moving aggressively to provide greater opportunities for more Malaysians, particularly those in the Government sector to enjoy the rewards of scoured savings and protection for themselves and their family or when they are ready for retirement.

Tahan Insurance also targets to achieve a combined premium income of RM300 million for its current year. To achieve its target, the Company is working aggressively through strategic alliances with both local and foreign organisations.

Coshare is the only private entity granted approval from the Finance Ministry to undertake government employees’ salary deduction programme.
