Tahan Insurance Malaysia Berhad (Tahan Insurance) has again reinforced
its support for Fugazi Racing Team for the Merdeka Millennium Endurance
Race, a yearly event introduced at the turn of the millennium. Tahan Insurance's
Chief Executive Officer, Razidan Ghazalli presented a cheque of RM100,000
to the Fugazi Racing Team Manager, Faisal Zelman Abdul Malik, to help
the team prepare for this year's race.
"These young men have the right attributes that racing dreams are
made of. They utilized their own personal cars and transforming them into
race machines. They compete at the highest level of our local circuit
and winning accolades for their performances." Razidan added, "Tahan
Insurance believes in the abilities of our own homegrown talents. They
have a complete understanding of motorsports, a good track record as well
as appreciation for the sponsors that are involved."
Motorsports said Razidan, has a growing interest worldwide and here in
Malaysia. With the inception of the Formula One Championships and the
existence of a world-class circuit in Sepang, the sport has gained tremendous
support from the Government of Malaysia and among Malaysians especially
our youth.
"Igniting the Racing Dream is thus our brand's way of creating a
brand theme to encourage young Malaysians with aspirations to be competent
racing drivers. Tahan Insurance is indeed proud to encourage such dreams
and aspirations" said Razidan.
"We hope to work with the Fugazi Racing team to create a fan club
or drivers' education programs to our policyholders in the coming months.
We hope to be able to develop a low-cost way for our policyholders to
experiment and to learn from experience professional racing team and instructors;
so the right and proper driving skills can be applied."
