Tahan to innovate medical
healths products

Tahan Insurance Malaysia Berhad (Tahan Insurance), a subsidiary Idaman
Unggul today agreed to a joint development effort to produce signed exclusive
Medical Insurance Products with MediScreen Sdn Bhd (MediScreen) to create
better and more comprehensive healthcare and medical benefits to the insured.
The venture will enable Tahan Insurance to pool all expertise, professional
attributes and resources not only to develop unique health plans but to
educate the public, and to get to the grassroots of health and medical
problems within our society.

Tahan Chief Executive Officer Razidan Ghazalli said, the current medical
ailing that plagues our demographics and environment has made it increasingly
important for Tahan Insurance to address the younger population on diseases
and chronic illnesses.
In response to the business venture with MediScreenn, Razidan said Tahan
Insurance in 2004 is expected to accelerate it business endeavour –
both in the Life and General insurance business. Tahan Insurance is venturing
into Medical and Health sector that will enable Tahan Insurance to innovate
and customise medical health insurance products and services to meet the
changing demographic needs of individuals and corporations.

Tahan Insurance and MediScreen through the MOU is committed to provide
professional standards in managing safety and convenience for clients.
The project will introduce various measures to facilitate Tahan Insurance’s
role as the underwriter for medical and health insurance.

Tahan Insurance will continue to initiate measures to ensure medical
costs are managed effectively and continue to consult MediScreen in setting
up panels of expertise and professionals in health and medical fields,
to ensure effective marketing of the medical health policies.
