On 1 January 2005, Tahan Insurance launched the e-Covernote System.
The e-Covernote System is a web based system for agents to issue electronic
cover notes and transmit them to Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalanraya (JPJ)
for road tax renewals and registrations of new vehicles.
This is an effort by Tahan Insurance and the insurance industry to reduce
fraud. It is a system which shortens the processing time and promotes
convenience for the agents and policyholders when they come into our branches
to renew their policies or for the registration of new vehicles.
The system linkage with JPJ has been tested and has been proven to run
smoothly.
The e-Covernote System also eliminates discrepancies in premium payments
as agents pay according to premiums calculated by the system.
The implementation of the e-Covernote System is another way for Tahan
Insurance to serve you better.
