Tahan Insurance wishes to express its appreciation to Dato' Mohamed Isa
Che Kak, and Dato'Abu Bakar Shaari, who retired as members of the Board
of Directors, for their contributions over the years, as well as for their
visionary leadership. Dato' Mohamad Isa, 71 and Dato' Abu Bakar, 70 retired
on July 31, 2006 and September 11, 2006 respectively. They have been valued
and respected members of the Tahan Insurance's Board.
Dato' Abu Bakar has served the Company as a director for more than 2
decades. He joined as the member of the board on July 1, 1986. Prior to
his retirement, he served also as a member of the Audit Committee.
Dato' Mohamed Isa Che Kak, joined as a member of the Board on September
21, 1992. Previously Dato' Mohamad Isa had served the Company as a member
of the Investment, Nomination & Establishment and Remuneration Committee
of Tahan Insurance. Dato' Isa also served as the Chairman of the Risk
Management Committee.
Having contributed so much to Tahan Insurance, their absence will be
heartfelt. During their tenure, they played an important part in establishing
the emergence and development of Tahan Insurance and they have provided
Tahan Insurance's Board of Directors with a wealth of leadership experience,
guidance and counsels which have been most beneficial to the Company.
Their knowledge, experience, judgment and common sense have served our
shareholders well throughout their terms of service.
We sincerely hope that they will enjoy their much earned retirement and
once again, the staff and management of Tahan Insurance wishes to thank
Dato' Mohamed Isa Che Kak, and Dato'Abu Bakar Shaari for a job well done.
