This insurance is a comprehensive insurance designed to indemnify the ship-owner against loss or damage to ship and legal liability of ship-owner arising from collision of the ship with another ship.

It covers against possible loss or damage by the operation of marine perils such as:

2. Perils of the sea, lakes, rivers or other navigable water
3. Violent theft by persons from outside vessel
4. Piracy
5. Jettison
6. Breakdown of nuclear installation
7. Contact with aircraft, land conveyance, dock or harbor equipment or installation
8. Earthquake, volcanic eruption or hijacking
